The benefits of Comprehensive Sexuality Education are substantial!

Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) is more than just body biology and busting myths.

CSE is a life-long process of acquiring high quality and evidence-based information, skills and values about sexuality and relationships that begins during childhood and youth. CSE equips young people with life skills and empowers them to make autonomous, informed decisions.

CSE lays the foundation for a safe and fulfilling passage to adulthood, and leads to:

Awareness of human rights • Respect, acceptance, tolerance and empathy for others • Gender equality and gender based violence • Confidence and self-esteem • Reproductive Health – adolescent health, STIs and HIV, contraception • Critical thinking • Skills in communication, negotiation and decision-making
