Standing in Solidarity: SPRINT Emergency Response Hygiene & Dignity Kit Distributions

Under the SPRINT Emergency Response Programme, FPA Sri Lanka carried out multiple hygiene and dignity kit distributions across MOH divisions in the Matale and Kegalle districts, supporting communities affected by the Ditwa Cyclone.

Distributions were conducted in the Ambanganga Korale, Rattota, and Ukuwela MOH Divisions in Matale, as well as the Yatiyantota MOH Division in the Kegalle District. These efforts included the distribution of maternity kits, dignity kits, adolescent kits, hygiene kits, and transgender dignity kits, ensuring that women, girls, adolescents, and members of the transgender community had access to essential support during a time of crisis.

The activities were carried out under the leadership and supervision of Dr. Ruchitha Perera, Executive Director of FPA Sri Lanka, with the support of Mr. Sandun Adhikari, Assistant Director – Outreach and SPRINT Focal Person, together with the Outreach Team and ED Office staff.

Through the SPRINT Emergency Response Programme, FPA Sri Lanka continues to stand in solidarity with marginalised and underserved communities, promoting dignity, safety, inclusivity, and equitable access to essential SRH services during emergencies.
