Background
The Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka (FPASL) manages a significant contraceptives sales and social marketing business unit that contributes to both national SRHR outcomes and long-term organisational sustainability. FPASL requires specialised financial and commercial expertise to strengthen analytics, pricing, and commercial governance. This consultancy will support the Commercial Director in commercial finance management.
Purpose of the Assignment
The purpose of this consultancy is to strengthen FPASL’s commercial and revenue functions by providing expertise in cost analysis, pricing, forecasting, and commercial performance analytics to enable data-driven decision-making.
Scope of Work and Key Responsibilities
Financial planning and forecasting
Pricing and margin analysis
Commercial costing and budget management
Revenue and performance analytics
Inventory and supply chain finance support
Compliance, controls, and audit support
Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports
Deliverables
Monthly Commercial Finance Report
Quarterly Forecast and Budget Review
Product-Level Profitability Analysis
Pricing and Margin Recommendation Report
Commercial Financial Dashboard
Inventory and Cost of Goods Analysis
Duration
12 Months Fixed Term with possibility of extension based on requirements and performance.
Qualification Requirements
Essential:
Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce
Chartered CA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
10 or more years experience in commercial or management accounting
Experience in FMCG, pharma, or distribution sectors
Advanced Excel/BI and financial modelling skills
Desirable:
Experience in SRHR or social marketing
Donor compliance knowledge
ERP and inventory management experience

Management & Reporting
The Consultant reports directly to the Executive Director.
Payment Terms
Monthly consultancy fee payable based on approved deliverables. Final payment upon satisfactory completion.
