The SPRINT Annual Planning & Review Meeting was held from 18th – 20th August in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

SPRINT, an IPPF initiative, strengthens disaster preparedness, recovery, and SRH response to ensure the reproductive health needs of women, girls, and marginalized groups are not overlooked.

FPA Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) and other key agencies, works to enhance inclusivity and emergency response systems.

Dr. Ruchitha Perera, Executive Director, joined a panel discussion on 'Recovery', moderated by Ms. Valerie Dourdin Fernandez, Global Humanitarian Director at IPPF. He presented FPASL’s M&E system based on the Net Promoter Score and shared innovative ideas on integrating AI into emergency response.

Mr. Sandun Adikari, Assistant Director – Outreach and SPRINT Focal Point, contributed to a group discussion on pre-positioning readiness kits. He also showcased FPASL’s Community Feedback Mechanism, explaining how feedback is collected through tablets at SDPs and from their programme participants, as well as the use of the D2D App for Community-Based Distribution via Health Volunteers.

The meeting served as a regional platform to exchange knowledge, showcase innovations, and reaffirm FPASL’s commitment to SRHiE, disaster preparedness, and community engagement.
