Today, the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights (EPF) delegation visited the FPA Sri Lanka Head Office and Clinic.
During their visit, the delegation met with our senior management team and staff. The Executive Director provided an overview of FPA Sri Lanka’s scope of work and key activities. Representatives from our partners, the National STD/AIDS Control Programme (NSACP) and the Health Promotion Bureau, also shared insights into their national-level initiatives. The delegation also heard from the community-based organization Heart to Heart, which plays a vital role in our HIV prevention efforts. In addition, a project team member presented an overview of the Period Poverty initiative, supported by the French Embassy. A Q&A session followed, allowing for an open exchange of perspectives, questions, and ideas.
The visit fostered meaningful dialogue on policy, partnerships, and lived experiences, reinforcing the importance of community-driven action in advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and strengthening cross-country collaboration for long-term impact.
President of the Board of Directors of FPA Sri Lanka, Ms. Aruni Marcelline, said:
