A Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) Roll-Out Session was successfully conducted for young women in the Puttalam MOH Division on the 18th of July 2026. The session was delivered in Tamil and facilitated by trained peer educators from the Youth Network for Health โ Puttalam, who have been equipped as peer trainers on Sexual and Reproductive Health, Rights and Justice (SRHRJ) and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE).
During the one-day awareness programme, participants engaged in discussions on key topics including female reproductive anatomy, menstruation, menstrual products, myths and misconceptions related to menstruation, pregnancy, and sexually transmitted infections and diseases (STIs/STDs). The session enhanced participantsโ understanding of essential health and well-being issues while encouraging open discussion and learning.
Through youth-led education and peer engagement, under the purview of the RFSU project, we continue to create safe spaces for young people to access accurate information and strengthen their knowledge.
