The National Dialogue on Disaster Preparedness was held on April 28 at the Sheraton Hotel, Colombo, bringing together government, non-governmental, and private sector stakeholders to strengthen anticipatory action in disaster management. Organized by the Disaster Management Center, UNFPA, the Australian Refugee Programme, and the Red Cross, the dialogue focused on integrating sexual and reproductive health within minimum humanitarian standards.

Representing FPA Sri Lanka, Dr. Chintha Rupasinghe (Director โ€“ SRH) and Mr. Sandun Adikari (Assistant Director Outreach and SPRINT Project Focal Point) participated in the discussions. A key outcome is FPAโ€™s role in the expert panel developing a national roadmap to integrate SRH into Sri Lankaโ€™s anticipatory action framework for disaster management.
