Mr. Phuntsho Wangyel, UNFPA Representative for Sri Lanka, visited FPA Sri Lanka yesterday. Having taken up his role in 2026, the visit provided an opportunity to reaffirm the strong and long-standing partnership between UNFPA and FPA Sri Lanka.

During the meeting with Executive Director Dr. Ruchitha Perera and the senior management team, unit heads shared an overview of FPA Sri Lanka’s key initiatives and ongoing work.

Over the years, UNFPA has supported FPA Sri Lanka’s efforts in advancing Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE), promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) awareness among young people, and strengthening humanitarian response initiatives.

We look forward to continuing this collaboration and working together to further expand access to information, services, and support for communities across Sri Lanka.
