On August 4th, 2026, FPA Sri Lanka officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the South Asian Center for Teacher Development (SACTD) at the FPA Sri Lanka head office.
This partnership is a major step forward for our "Inclusive Health" project, funded by the French Embassy, which is dedicated to advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) rights and addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) for persons with disabilities.
Through this collaboration, SACTD will conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to identify current barriers and knowledge gaps in disability-inclusive SRH education. Using these critical insights, they will focus on designing, developing, and delivering training using specialized Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) modules for teachers and educators. To ensure true accessibility, these essential resources will be produced in multiple formats that include Braille, large print, and audio, equipping educators with the exact tools they need to empower students with disabilities.
