Background:
The Family Planning Association of Sri Lanka is a growing business dedicated to improving access to quality contraceptive products. With a wide product portfolio (including condoms, oral contraceptives, injectables, and long-acting reversible contraceptives), we work across public and private sectors to promote reproductive health. As the business expands, there is a need to strengthen credit risk management and optimize cash flow.
Purpose of the Role:
The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing and overseeing FPASL’s credit and collections processes. This role ensures timely customer payments, minimises bad debts, and maintains healthy cash flow while supporting customer relationships and compliance with company credit policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate customer credit limits and payment performance
Manage accounts receivable ledger and ensure timely collections
Perform credit risk assessments for new and existing customers
Implement credit policies and procedures tailored to contraceptive distribution
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing disputes in collaboration with the sales team
Track overdue accounts, and initiate appropriate follow-up actions
Recommend customers for legal or external debt recovery processes if needed
Coordinate with sales and distribution teams to balance commercial growth and credit risk
Prepare monthly credit control reports for management
Support audits and compliance requirements related to credit and receivables
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Part qualification in from any accounting body will be an advantage
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in credit control
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, SAGE, ASF)
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
