We are proud to have launched our partnership with the Sri Lanka National Federation of the Visually Handicapped through the Breaking the Silence project, promoting accessible sexual and reproductive health (SRH) education, counselling, and informed decision-making for blind and visually impaired individuals.

The partnership agreement was formally signed on the day of the first workshop, marking an important step towards strengthening inclusive SRH services. Dr. Chintha Rupasinghe, Director โ€“ SRH, and Ms. Hema Ranawake, Assistant Director โ€“ Alokaya, participated as resource persons, contributing to the session through their expertise and experience. The workshop focused on strengthening SRH knowledge and confidence while promoting inclusive communication, privacy and confidentiality, dignity, safeguarding, and informed consent.

Through our Alokaya Counselling Centre, we remain committed to creating a more inclusive and empowering SRH environment where everyone can access the information and support they deserve.

Together, letโ€™s break the silence and build a more inclusive future.
