FPA Sri Lanka is on the lookout for a Manager – Transport & Fleet Management is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all transportation and fleet operations of the organization. The role ensures efficient utilization of vehicles, cost-effective operations, compliance with transport regulations, and timely service delivery to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the organization’s entire fleet operations including vehicles, drivers, and transport schedules
Ensure efficient utilization of vehicles and minimize operational costs
Develop and implement fleet management policies, procedures, and safety standards
Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing and repairs
Supervise drivers and transport staff, including performance management and discipline
Ensure compliance with all transport laws, insurance requirements, and safety regulations
Maintain accurate records of fuel consumption, mileage, repairs, and fleet expenses
Optimize routing and scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce delays
Liaise with internal departments to meet transportation requirements
Manage procurement and replacement of vehicles as required
Prepare periodic reports on fleet performance and cost analysis
Candidate Profile & Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or related field (Professional certification in Fleet/Transport Management will be an advantage)
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in transport or fleet management
Experience in managing a medium to large fleet operation
Proven supervisory/managerial experience
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of fleet operations and transport regulations
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Good understanding of cost control and budgeting
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management systems
Other Requirements
Ability to work flexible hours when required
Strong commitment to safety and compliance standards
Valid driving license (preferred)
