A part of the FPA property in Nainamadama was recently cultivated with various crops in light of the economic crisis and rising costs and shortages of food.
FPA's Executive Director Thushara Agus commented on the initiative she spearheaded;
'We cultivated an acre of land at our Training Centre, hoping to distribute the new crops and coconuts (from an existing plantation area) among staff members during the economic recession. It was satisfying to see the results and yield after three months. We can all make a small but meaningful contribution to our country during these difficult times.'
