Sri Lanka is a FP 2020 focused country and in August 2018 Sri Lanka signed the FP 2020 pledge with a commitment to increase the percentage of eligible families who have their need for family planning satisfied with modern methods. The slogan/caption “Family Planning “ sometimes causes a negative reaction in Sri Lanka and creates lack of acceptance for those providing SRHR services and education in the country. Therefore a strategic planning meeting  took place at the Mirage Hotel Colombo to strategize rebranding the phrase  "Family Planning" with key stakeholders in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health.
