The Association’s aim in establishing Service Delivery Points in strategic locations island-wide is to increase access to quality Sexual and Reproductive Health services. In addition to the static clinic, mobile clinics are then organized by these Centres to take services closer to the target clientele, being the under-served and hard-to-reach communities.

The opening ceremony of our newest service centre in Kilinochchi is taking place this morning. The Centre is funded by The People of Japan and FPA together with UNFPA Sri Lanka are the implementing partners of this initiative.

Gracing this special occasion were, FPA’s Executive Director, Dr. Ruchitha Perera. Ms. Sureka Perera, Director Finance, Dr. Nuzrath Nasoordeen - Director Medical, Head of Outreach Mr. Rajapakse together with project staff from the Outreach Unit and special invitees; Dr. Lahiru Kodithuwakku – UNFPA Manager – Humanitarian Response, Dr. Ilankumaran – Medical Officer STD, Kilinochchi, Dr. Kajenthira MOH Karaichchi and Dr. Ranjan, Medical Officer / Maternal & Child Health.

This centre headed by Mr. Jeyakumaran, will be invaluable in delivering a wide range of quality SRH and non-SRH services to the community.
