The M & E Unit presents research papers at the Annual Research Symposium - 2016

The Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, on behalf of FPA Sri Lanka, presented three research papers at the Annual Research Symposium - 2016 of the National Centre for Advance Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences (NCAS), the official research symposium of the Sri Lanka University Grant Commission (UGC) on the 18th of November 2016, at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

Titles are as follows; 

  1. Young People’s Knowledge on Induced Abortion and Abortion Law: A Community Based Study in Colombo City, Sri Lanka. Authors: - M. Suchira Suranga, Kalinga Tudor Silva, Lakshman Senanayake, Indralal De Silva.
  2. Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) information and counselling to youth via Information Communication Tools (ICT). Authors: - Sumithra Tissera, M. Suchira Suranga, Jayatillake ACKodikara TDShilpeswarage SPUK,Indralal De Silva.
  3. HIV risk behaviours among youth female sex workers in selected districts of Sri Lanka; a baseline cross sectional study. Authors :- Indralal De SilvaJanaranga Dewasurendra, M. Suchira SurangaSMAS BandaraRajakaruna RMDKPriyantha HAS.

The field survey team was headed by Ms. Chamari Kumari De Thabrew., Prof. Wanigasundara, Prof. S. Samitha, Prof. W.M.K. Wijethunga, Dr. Sumithra Tissera, Ms. Thushara Agus, Ms. Nuwanti Liyanage, Mr. Duminda Rajakaruna, Mr. Kalhara Senadhira, Dr.Thiloma Moonasinghe, Dr. Heshan Wickramasinghe, Mr. Mahinda Deshapriya, Mr. R.V.P. Rajapakshe, Mr. Thilina Wickramarathne, Mr. Chaminda Hettiarachchi, Ms. Mallika Samarawickrama and Mr. Krishan Yogeshwaran, Dr. Karthik Sirinivasan and Ms. Nilanthi Kumari Weerasinghe
