FPA Sri Lanka opened a new centre, which is its’ 7^th Service Delivery Centre (SDP), on the 9^th of April in Matara, further expanding its services to the Southern Province. It was declared opened by Prof Gamini Senanayake (Vice chancellor ,University of Ruhuna) who was the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor was Ms Thushara Agus ( Executive Director, FPA Sri Lanka). Other distinguished invitees were the Private Secretary of the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Mayor of Weligama, the President of Lak Vanitha Movement, Members of Pradesheeya Sabhas of the Matara District, officials from the Divisional Secretariat and MOH office, the President of the Provincial Youth  Federation of Hambantota, Mr.Nanayakkara and Mr. Sahiru Sameera (Chairperson of YTAC). In keeping with our mission of providing sexual and reproductive health as a right for all, this centre headed by Mr.Sunil Wijeratne, will be invaluable in delivering a wide range of quality SRH and non SRH services to the hard to reach communities of this area.
