FPA Sri Lanka recently conducted a workshop on Comprehensive Sexuality Education for 600 adolescents and parents from Ruwanwella in the Kegalle District. The training took place at the Dehiowita Divisional Secretariat Office on the 2nd of November 2017. The event was organized in collaboration with Kegalle District Member of Parliament and Ruwanwella Electorate Organizer Hon. Dr. Thusitha Wijemmane and the Child Protection Officer of Ruwanwella. The participants were also entertained by a group of young performers of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.

Members of Parliament Hon. Dr. Thusitha Wijemanne and Hon. Jayampathy Wickramaratne and the Director General of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation Mr. Erananda Hettiarachchi were present at the event.

Dr. Janaki Vidanapathira of the National STD Aids Control Programme and the Officer in Charge of the Ruwanwella Police Station were the resource persons of the event.
