Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) Project 2022

FPA Sri Lanka implements the CSE programme in six selected districts through service delivery points for youth in schools, vocational training institutes, universities, youth service councils and various other technical colleges and institutes. The CSE programme is implemented in line with the IPPF guidelines on CSE, covering all seven components including human development, gender, contraception, HIV, sexual rights, decision making, diversity and relationships.

Having considered the problems faced due to the COVID -19 pandemic, a more digital approach will be taken, and online programmes will be conducted in the year 2022.  FPASL anticipates reaching 9000 youth through three-day, CSE programmes.

Main activities

  • Meeting with relevant district level partners to discuss and plan CSE programmes in the six operational areas.
  • Conduct one and three day, Comprehensive Sexuality Education programmes for youth and adolescents, in and out of schools, by the six service delivery points in Ampara,Batticaloa,Koggala, Nuwara Eliya, Seethawaka,and Wathupitiwela.
