The ceremonyforawarding certificates to applicants (midwives, social workers and Teachers) who had successfully completed the Certificate Course in Psychological Counselling conducted by the FPA- Suwasewa Center in Nuwara Eliya took place on the 29^th of October.

It was a significant event as it was the first such course conducted out of Colombo.  The course objective is to mould a resourceful person to have the ability to deal with issues of society by providing comprehensive, theoretical and practical skills development training on psychological counseling and Sexual and Reproductive Health.

Special invitees were FPA Sri Lanka Executive Director Ms Thushara Agus, Mr. Rajapakse,( Head of Outreach Unit), Mr. Sunil Wijerathna,( Deputy Director of Outreach Unit), Ms. Anushka Udayangani (Course Coordinator -University of Peradeniya) and Ms. Selani Priyanka (Counsellor).
