Sustainability of Key Populations in Asia (SKPA) Project - PrEP Consultation Meeting

In September 2015, WHO recommended that oral pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) be offered as an additional prevention choice for people at substantial risk of HIV infection as part of combination HIV prevention approaches. As such the National STD and AIDS Control Programme (NSACP) hopes to launch a two-year demonstration project for PrEP in 2020 which is supported by The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) and UNAIDS. Ioannis Hodges-Mameletzis has been contracted to support the implementation within the country for 2020-2021. It has been the SKPA project’s pleasure to support community consultations that will productively contribute towards an expansive engagement of the community during the PrEP demonstration project.
