Calling for EOI from Civil Society Organisations for implementation of a grant facility for advocacy on SRH-HIV Integration
European Union (EU) Funded International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) –South Asia Regional Office (SARO) Project on Building Momentum for SRH-HIV Integration in South Asia at FPA Sri Lanka.
Background: Linking HIV/AIDS and Sexual & Reproductive Health programmes has the potential to significantly curtail the AIDS epidemic. Furthermore, it also addresses the unmet need and rights of women and men living with HIV/AIDS to Sexual & Reproductive Health services.
The Objective of the small grant facility of USD 2,000 is to enable local CSOs to advocate with stakeholders on SRH-HIV Integration in Global Fund proposals at the National Level. The activity is also aimed at building capacity of the CSOs to position them as Principal Recipients (PR) or Sub-Recipients (SR) of GFATM funding at a future date. The small grant can also be used by the CSOs to advocate on SRH-HIV Integration with the media to create greater coverage of issues.
Who may apply: Organizations working at National or Province level on Advocacy for SRH, HIV & gender equality. PLHIV Networks, Women-led organizations and Youth-led organizations are encouraged to apply.
Duration of the grant: six months to one year.
Conditions for Funding: Following documents must be attached to EOI.
• Registration/ renewal
• Geographical coverage
• Annual program reports – at least ONE year (preferably 3 years)
• Audited financial statement for 2011
• Evidence of experience in working/advocating on SRH and HIV and /or related issues
• Evidence of managing a previous grant of at least Rs. 150,000/- annually
Activities that may be supported under the grant: Media advocacy, Advocacy on SRH-HIV integration, Capacity building of CSOs to position them as PR and SR in GFATM
General Conditions of the Grant:
• The agreement will be a sub-contract and include all the clauses applicable for direct EU agreement.
• The grant will be towards programmatic cost only and will not include any capital cost like computers, vehicle, rent etc.
• A formal agreement will be signed by contracting parties (FPA Sri Lanka and the grantee) setting out the Terms and Conditions of the grant and the procedures by which the grant will operate.
• Program monitoring and output evaluation will be conducted by the FPA Sri Lanka and may include on-site assessment.
• Grant recipient/s will submit a monthly narrative report to FPA Sri Lanka and at the closure of the project submit both a complete financial report and a narrative report.
