In an ever changing world Sexual and Reproductive needs and responses cannot stay static. It is the agility with which Family Planning Association responds to those needs, that has made it survive and thrive. As the pioneer of family planning in Sri Lanka, FPA has come a long way over sixty years and evolved to be a mature yet youthful player who continues to pioneer emerging initiatives in Sexual and Reproductive Health arena.

Family Planning Association plays triple roles as Service Provider, Educator and Advocate of Sexual and Reproductive Health. Depending on communities and geographical areas we work in, one role may assume significance over the other. However, we firmly believe that all interventions are vital for Sri Lanka to reach its MDGs on reproductive health and the ICPD goal of universal access to reproductive health.
