- 2011 - FPASL receives the accreditation from the IPPF governing body.
- 2011 - NGO Sector Annual Report Award by the Institute of Chartered Accounts Sri Lanka.
- 2010 - Happy Life being judged to be the Best Website (Gold Award) in the non-profit category at the Most Favorite Website Competition 2010 organized by the LK Domain Registry.
- 2009 - e-Swabimani Award for best application of e-content in the Health Category, Awarded by the Government of Sri Lanka.
- 2009 - Health Service Excellence Award for supporting the Government with the Internally Displaced in Vanni in 2009.
- 2009 - Annual Report Awards for the best Annual Report in the non-profit sector, Awarded by the Institute of Charted Accountants.
- 2009 - Best Presented Accounts and the Corporate Governance Disclosure Awards 2009 - Dhaka.
- 2004 - Sasakawa Health Award awarded by the World Health Organization.
- 1994 -Yuwathipathi, the film produced by FPA entered to the Film Festivals in New Delhi and China by the National Film Corporation.
- 1986 - Award of $5000 to President of FPA at the Members Assembly, Tokyo and a citation to the Executive Director MrDayaAbeywickremafor his contributions.
- 1985 - IPPF Award of $5000 for the Most Innovative resource development project in IOR.
- 1978 - IPPF Founders Award for the Best Youth Project awarded for the Yatapatha Youth Project.
