FPA bids farewell to Executive Director Thushara Agus after her successful 12-year tenure.

A farewell ceremony and tea party was held at the FPA head office to honour her dynamic and inspirational leadership. The event was attended by Board Members, Technical Advisory Committee members, Past Presidents, the Senior Management Team and staff.

Under her leadership, FPA achieved key milestones and achievements in sexual and reproductive health programme expansion, such as initiating projects with The Global Fund’s national scale HIV programme, opening clinics in Industrial Zones, expanding the Social Marketing Programme to the North and East, and winning the IPPF tender to host the global “Social Enterprise Knowledge Hub” in 2015.

Thushara Agus's efforts also included constructing a purpose-driven Head Office building for FPA Sri Lanka and increasing local income generation with multiple income streams for sustainability.
