In 2008, the Youth Technical Advisory Committee of FPA Sri Lanka (YTAC), believing that education is the ultimate empowerment, took an initiative to raise funds and donate stationery items for children who are linked with the national network of people living with HIV. The event occurred annually until 2012 and over the years, the project transformed into an agenda aimed at capacity building of children infected and affected by HIV. Under this project, there were educational tours, drama workshops and various activities conducted with the aim of improving the creativity of children. The gifts of stationery became a mere final item to a day where children were respected, loved and empowered.
