What is Consent?
Consent is when a person freely agrees to something. When it comes to sex, consent is mandatory, every time. Sexual activity without consent is rape or sexual assault. Consenting and asking for consent are all about setting your personal boundaries and respecting those of your partner — and checking in if things aren’t clear. However, having sex or any attempt to have sex with a minor (a person under the age of 16) even with consent is a punishable offense.
Consent is never implied by things like your past behavior, what you wear, or where you go.
What are some red flags that indicate your partner doesn’t respect consent?
